The Susan Panciera Memorial Scholarship was established to celebrate Susan's lifelong dedication as a church musician and her profound impact on worshiping communities. Our mission is to support the education and training of musicians seeking a career in sacred music. We hope to strengthen the power of sacred music to enrich future generations.

Scholarship Details

Selection Criteria
  • Musical skills

  • Commitment to service as a church musician

  • Commitment to excellence  as a leader of communities in worship

Eligibility
  • Graduate or upper-class (3rd or 4th year) undergraduate students

  • Must major in Church/Sacred Music, Organ, or Choral Conducting

  • Must hold position in a church or synagogue music program

Awards

$1,000 grants to support:

  • Tuition payments

  • Private study or research

  • Professional workshops that support the practice of sacred music

Application Requirements

Each application must include a completed application form, resume (including contact details for two references), video recording(s) of your work as a worship leader, and a brief mission statement (400 word maximum).

 

Video performance links should be on YouTube or Vimeo. These video submissions should be recorded in a corporate worship setting (liturgy, congregational song, anthems, service music, etc.)

Applications Open

The application portal opens for all eligible students to begin their submissions.

MAY 30

Applications Due

Final deadline for all application materials, including video performance links.

June

Committee Review

Our board of musicians reviews submissions.

july

Scholarship Awarded

Awards are officially announced and stipends are distributed to the recipients.
